Nice motion shot.

Compositionally, I really like how the yellow of the car is at the base of the picture. This helps to provide an 'base' of sorts for the eye to start on. Then, because the yellow line so very nearly matches, it is a natural progression up and through the frame. Very effective use of leading lines/vanishing point.

Technically, it is also a very sound picture. The focus in the distance really makes the motion blur all the more effective.

I would really like to see this shot in the fall with all the fall colors, too.

Saluda, eh? Are you from around there, or just passing through? There is a neat place under the Green River Bridge that has a cool railroad trestle that is interesting to photograph. And if you want more curves, head on up my way and take one of the roads to the Parkway.

Congrats on taking 11th in a free study. That is something to be proud of!

Thank you, everyone, for your comments. They were all very encouraging. I'm extremely excited about how well received this photo turned out to be.
No expert editing was used. I simply adjusted levels, ran neat image, then sharpened. I took a lot of shots that day, but this stood out because of the focus down the road with the sides blurred. It looks much nicer as a print than on a moniter.

Wow...that is really the only word for it. I've seen motion pictures in a car before, but I have never felt like I was moving with it. I saw this when the challenge was announced & sat there staring at it for what seemed like forever, I was frozen. I had to come back & give it a 10...and a favorite.

The movement in this photo is portrayed so well that I almost have a sense of vertigo when I view it. The crispness of the foreground contrasts beautifully with the blur in the rest.

I would be interested in knowing how you were able to pull this off so well...did you have to stabilize the camera to the car?

Good shot. Having the double yellow strip only makes it more interesting.
