Now that I have bored everyone to tears with downtown Dallas, I will overload you with old cars for a few days. I had stopped by Trammel Crowe Park on the way home from taking my Daughter to the airport. I can get a nice panorama of downtown Dallas from there but ran across a Model A Ford Club. Unexpected finds like this are the reason to keep a little camera in the car all the time.

While stopped at a traffic light, I noticed these folks had staked out a claim on a parking spot by rolling out a mat of AstroTurf and some potted plants, and were seemingly having a picnic. I reached across and shot this in the passenger-side rearview mirror.
Upon further reflection (pun intended) this may be an extension of some cafe's al fresco dining area ... I didn't get a good look as went by ...

| I have totally dropped the ball on this one, I haven't taken many shots at all with my phone, And for about the past 10 days or so I totally had forgotten about this challenge. Still have a few days left this month I will see what I can muster up. |

Ah, I think the mystery is solved -- I now suspect that this was a part of the worldwide Parking Day event.

*Someone* was busy PMing me today instead of paying attention while they were bored in class. I decided it was an appropriate occasion to go get some delicious Chinese food for lunch while they ate fake pizza in the school cafeteria. Also an opportunity to see how good the macro mode is on my baby Powershot.

It's down this street a couple of blocks, but not in the pic. I had not heard about it yet, but I haven't had the news on.
Fountain Place is the building in the middle of this early effort of mine at overprocessing.

Probably my last P&S pic for this SC. Learned how to work my P&S better (more than just the auto mode). So I called this last pic (and maybe last trip to the Oregon coast for the year) "Summer's Last Hurrah". Thanks Steve for letting me join in on this SC.

Crazy cartoonish effect. Interesting for those who want the effect or to use it to illustrate something.
Edit: Cartoonish might not be the right word, maybe a drawing style illustration. It is fun to look at.
