Hooray! It's September (only 115 shopping days left, you know) & here's hoping summertime chores let up a little, leaving more time for my favorite obsession. The iPhone is a lot of fun to take out for candid, impulsive shots. I think the baby was in the cafe having a snack with its Mom.

This was shot at a farmer's market. Taken in August (Casio P&S), so it's my precursor until I get out this weekend. Hope you don't mind.

There are some pretty amazing photography apps for the iPhone. This is five shots stitched together with AutoStitch.

First real outing (kids soccer practice) with my new Panasonic Lumix Z35. So much to LEARN!!! And people say going from a P&S to a DSLR is hard. Going backwards is harder IMO.

BTW - The young lady in the photo is on the team and is usually right in the thick of things. Missed what happened as to why she's sitting outside the group. :-/

..... .....
my usual PP ... & my first effort with Topaz .... & having some fun with it

I felt kinda silly with the iPhone at the botanical garden, but of course I had to try it. The lulrid greens are a result of my PP, a levels adjustment layer set to soft light.

I know this is a busy photo, but this is how I wanted to remember this scene. I was in Maine at this wonderful candy store taking in all the smells of homemade candy looking out the window and watching people walk on by. This photo taken with the Panasonic LX3.

Marginal Way in Maine...pretty much straight out of the camera...I did lighten it a little in photoshop...photo taken with the Panasonic LX3

I know it's not a good shot and the perspective sucks, but i'll try to go back there and find a place where i can get a better angle. I like the black & white with colors :D.

Day 2 and I'm still learning how to use my lil bitty camera. Trying to learn its strenghts and weaknesses. By the end of the month, I should have this thing down pat. ;)

Dawn. I took some liberties with this photo. I'll pull them if you want (in my DPC Workshop folder). I thought just a minor tweak (get the clouds white and bring out some detail) might give this a little pop.

- Auto Levels

- Auto Levels, Clarify (level 10), and a little NI on blue channel.

I really do like the second one so much better than my original photo...thanks
I don't have clarify in Elements, so I am not exactly sure what that does.
I am very pleased with the LX3, and I need to work on my photo retouching skills!!!

I have had jury duty for the last couple of days, today until 4:pm, then I went to work. It had rained hard there, so I got a shot of the sunset reflected in a puddle on the pavement, tuned it up a little, and turned it over.
I'm too tired to comment tonight.
