Just pointed and shot it.....forgot or wasn't paying attention to the DOF, Focus strenth, and also the specks..just a fool walking around with a loaded camera....could be dangerous. :) However, I have mangaged to learn something with the comments...Got hooked to the site and then went back to re-shoot it with much better comp...

I'll get back with ya after the opposites challenge, as that is my humble beginning. :)

Feel free to look at some of the weirdness that you are about to endure.

This looks to be a very cool site...and I intend to have a lot of fun.

Time was running out and I decided to try something abstract for Textures II

At least it gave me lots of room for improvement :)

I worked real hard on my first entry.

I soon found out that I should have worked harder. :)

Still one of my favorites. A little small. Took me awhile to figure out how to reduce photos under 150kb.

Oh yeah, Ben! That's what it's all about!

i'm a newcomer and after such a short time am completely addicted to DPC...still working on meeting a challenge to my satisfaction. it's a rare site that motivates so well. i love the timeframes for challenges--no reaching back into photo archives: get out there and get inspired. wonderful wonderful!!

1st - Not so good...

2nd - Shocker...

I had one more that rated over 6, but the rest have been right around the 4.3 range

Hmmmmm, mine was way back when. I happened upon dpc on Sunday night about 9:30. I took a picture, had to download it and learn all that resizing stuff and submitted it. I honestly think that if this shot was submitted now, it would not break 3.

(It is not, for the record, my lowest. I have improved, but my scores here go up and down depending on the phase of the moon!)

My first shot scored 5.707 after 42 more entries my average score is only 5.6463. Not sure what that meansâ€Â¦

I'm sure my Centered shot will help bring that average down even further but it was something new for me and I like it.

Back when I thought Big Borders were in style, :)

Wish I could get rid of it from my profile. Can you blame me? And a few others. LOL

It was for the Garbage challenge. It certainly met the challenge though, in more ways than one I'm afraid.
