I really like this shot. The main reason why is because of the emotion it portrays. Alot of the portraits are just that, a portrait. But it looks as though there is something on your mind, or just a deep thought. The environment/background is interesting as well. I like your work.

Beautiful. I could go on about all the things I like about this, but I'll just throw out a few.. I like the symetry, and I like that it's not perfect symetry, and that the whole thing is off center, and the pose, and the lighting, and the black and white, and the concept, and the texture of the wall you used, and the angle of the shot. I have a feeling this won't score as high as it should, but I know I'll add it to my favorites after the challenge ends. 10. Great work.
(I just thought I'd add that I voted on almost every entry in this challenge, and this was my only 10 I gave.)

The more I look at this picture, the more I like it. It seems sad to me, or dissapointed. The shadow on the wall is beautiful.

I really like the symmetry of you and your shadow in this as such the composition works really well, but I just don't find that the lighting on your face quite right. I'm not sure why that is, but it could be because of the strand of hair running down across your face

No offence, but you look "homeless". That's not a "cut" either, in fact I really like it and like the lighting and surroundings. Good job!

this is an amazing portrait. very moving, and letting the viewer in to see a side of you that is hard to express.. hence your gaze away from the camera. You prefer to be behind the camera don't you? Great work!

I really like the lighting here, especially on your face! The loose wisp of hair adds a lot to the interest of this image, too. The bottom is SO dark, though, it looks almost all black on my monitor, and I had to lean in to see what I was looking at. I'm still not sure.

Not only is the facial lighting very good, the body shadow adds a lot to this. Very nice job!

Really good photo. I think it could do with a touch more contrast but the way it is gives it a more moody feel. 9

I wish there was a bit of detail. It's very dark. Good moodiness though.

Hi there,
I like this shot. Nice tones, and the symmetry of your shadow on the wall. Great composition, and highlights. I don't know why but it makes me smile.

The inclusion of ambience here is very refreshing in this context. The photo appeals to me in a very direct and untechnical way. The shadow creates a symmetry, which, IMO, nicely compensates for the subject looking outside of the picture.

This is very classic. I love your shot. The modd captured is so wide and can be interpreted in many ways. The composition is really nice. Nice use of B&W. Superb. 8

This is a really great, powerful black and white image. It conveys a lot of emotion. The tonal range is good and the dark areas help set the mood. I like it a lot. 9
