Evie, my niece.
On the day that is both my wedding anniversary and the day that my father would have been 70, we gathered together and went to visit his grave. First, though, there was a little matter of trying to get a shot of this little madam who never, ever seems to sit still.

Yes, not sure I see the point other than to avoid cropping to create a zoom effect (which clearly does defeat the purpose here), but fractional cropping should be ok IMHO. Just because the camera sensor isn't variable doesn't mean we should not develop an eye for various 1/1 2/3 3/4 etc crops @??mm when we capture a shot. Besides, if we were to shoot for the "nature of the lens" then all photos (& sensors) should be round. |
I just take a photo and then mess with it. I will do so all month. ;~) |
Mess away. Point is to have fun, not impose any sort of rigid ruleset. :)
It was suggested that cropping be kept to a minimum so as to encourage in-camera composition. That said, this is a side challenge so take the suggestion for what you will. For example, I've already stated that I tend to shoot for 8x10 composition, and will probably be cropping for that aspect ratio for most of my shots. Others are opting to be more or less strict, depending on their personal whim. |

I love this challenge already because figaro suggested using USM to 'pop' the fingers, and I love it!
Here is the result.

Hope it isn't too late to join in on this one. I'd like to try and shoot a month's worth of 100mm.
