would have liked this more if shot from a different angle and it was straight

nicely captured artpiece, dof works well here & the branches make a nice natural frame

next time just step a bit to the right to get that trunk outta the way

As others have said, nice DOF, but the tilt (both foreground and background) could easily be corrected.

This is fascinating...but I keep trying to lean around the tree. :) Your focus and DOF are very good! I love the subject matter - quite interesting.

I find those japanese and chinese lanterns are always quite fascinating. Following up on what the others said a step or two to your right might move the trunk from a position of blocking the lantern to one of framing. Solid use of DoF in this photograph!

Interesting subject and I bet every little thing on it has some kind of meaning. The DOF really makes it stand out well, although I agree with the others about the tree.

Excellent focus on your subject - that's an issue I have with that lens from time to time. The foreground tree trunk kinda intrudes a bit, but the needles from it behind are quite nice.

At first I thought it would look better cropped, but I kind of like the feeling like you were sneaking up on this almost like you weren't supposed to be there.

I might have cropped this a bit more agressively to get rid of the tree trunk and limbs. It also seems a hair tilted. The subject is interesting though and something I probably would have passed right on by.
