I've got a 5.1 as the earliest of my last ten entries. Apart from that, they're all sub 5. I think I'll start shooting for browns.

I'm still working on a nice long string of 0's. So far, so good. :-)

But I did just stick an entry in the Free Study, so I may jump all the way from 0 to 5.2 for a week! Woo hoo!

The Novacaine story... so today I had to go to the dentist to get a more permanent filling after I got a temporary filling last Friday. Seems Thursday evening whilst eating a bagel for dinner, I also ate half a filling. I always wondered why that tooth hurt to bite down with at times...

Anyway, today I go in. She explains that it's one big honkin' filling (yes, I know that) and it may not be possible once she sees the tooth to do just another filling, but that a root canal may be in order. Hmmm.. I think they say stuff like that so after they get done pulverizing your mouth you'll say "well at least it wasn't a root canal!" So she gives me a shot of Novacaine. I hate that. But it's better than not having it. A minute or two later, she taps my bottom lip and says "Is that numb?" Well, no, it wasn't. So I tell her so. And mention that while my bottom lip isn't numb, my left ear is, as in fact is the whole left side of my head. Seems I'm wired wrong as far as where my nerves run. So she tried again, and the second time she did find the right spot. It's been about 7 hours and FINALLY I have my face back and my ear back. Did I mention I hate Novacaine?

Oh, and after ALL that, she says "You know you really need a crown - let's set that up." Turns out that'll require drilling out the filling she just put in. She couldn't mention that BEFORE this whole little adventure? Always fun, those trips to the dentist, yes?

And I've lost my mind. I've entered ANOTHER challenge - that's two in one evening. I really, really do know better, too.

Can you say sub-5 in FS? :-) I think my sitting out plan was a good idea... But it's early. I could still get my 5.2!

It's early. That is definitely NOT a sub-5 pic. I should be headed in that direction soon tho.

It will finish higher than where it is now. It better, dammit lol.

I think the last time you mentioned sucking in challenges, you had some pretty high scoring photos.... hmmm... I need to try this.

LOL I enter just for the post challenge comment from Michelle! She has 3 to comment on when all is done. I will feel better about my efforts and strive for better - in turn she has to comment more as I enter more - that's a dear friend!

They're the nicest surprise scores and it just goes to show you never can really guess what the voters will think. You beter go say something nice to that damn kid :P

My first three voters didn't care for the shot, but the next 7 like it better. It should finish somewhere in the 5s, which is good. Mostly I just like sharing the stories behind the pictures, you know? Anyway, it's nice to back in a challenge, score or not, since it means I'm far more likely to get back to voting and commenting in challenges. Seems if I don't enter, I don't feel "right" voting and commenting either. Weird, I know... :-)
