What's truly wonderful is the people who have looked and commented.....that blows me away!

SherwinJames left a comment/post where he picked one of my faves......a B&W that I captured as a lucky random candid.

He's someone I truly admire both for his talent and his gut-level, brutal clarity with his images.

B&W is sonmething I've been trying to learn, and mostly what I find is how intensely much more evocative it can be than color......if you get it right.

And man......does he EVER!!!

And of course, comments from our own Shez, Deb, & Terri are just icing on the cake.

I have been lurking of late, the last couple of challenges were bad for me. I know my Hi-C sucked, but the Cowboy I worked hard on and it still did poorly. The person who's stuff I borrowed for the shoot asked for a print, so I had it done up and framed and she loves it. I'm thinking that this site might be over my head and I need to work on my post processing before I enter any more challenges, we will see. I'm off to Iowa to see my brother, he say's I don't have to pack my waders. Will always be taking pictures it's what I do. I'm proud of my Team suck members who are doing good, it's nice to here good things happen to good people.

I'm back from my mini vacation. Lots of shots to edit, but I really only got "snapshots" this trip. The weather was iffy (rain off and on), so I didn't take my camera out too much. I didn't want to get stuck in the pouring rain with it and no way to protect it. I have a few processed and am debating which to stick in challenges. After I figure it out I'll post the others. But for some reason, I really love this one and it's not challenge material, so here it is...

Bah, I had some great ideas for the open challenges, but couldn't find my Woody models.. Time to start thinking Green, I guess.

Yes, but you could pursue it as a side project after you find your models, and post them here for our enjoyment. :)

I very much like this image and I've not gotten very many 6+ images in recent months.

If it continues at its current rate, I might make it!

Interesting discovery today. In the "pick your favorite" thread, I saw this picture from Christian:

Which reminded me of a shot I have on my hard drive - I printed this and gave it to the subject and he was really very pleased.

I have the same exact score in every challenge at the moment. Zero. I'm getting used to that score. In fact, I kind of like it!
