Well, it is all public record. Removal of WMDs. Disruption of Al Qaeda support and training and that Iraq was an imminent threat to the US and US interests. I know it was almost 5 years ago now, (this week) but it isn't so hard to remember. |

Why were we so focused on getting Saddam then?

The focus shifted towards 'getting Saddam' to prevent him or his associates from re-establishing a political or military foothold in Iraq, which would have caused a setback to US plans for the region. |

Well. Once you don't find any substantive evidence of WMDs or an imminent threat and after 600,000 documents don't show any links to Al Qaeda, you've got to be doing it for some worthy cause, don't you ?
Okay, back on topic.
Blackberry - not allowed to vote. From a European perspective, fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Which doesn't appear to have an equivalent party in the US.

No, at the time we attacked he basically wasn't killing anybody. When he did commit atrocious acts -- like gassing thousands of Kurds in northern Iraq -- he did it with chemical weapons sold to him by the US and Europe. |

*Squawk* Fox news/Rush/Oriely says "new socialist republic of tax me freely" *Squawk*
Said the parrot
Arguing Democrat or republican is like fighting over coke and pepsi, at the end of the day they are both cola
Hell this thread is a great example
Nikon or Cannon
Both good Cameras, I would shoot the same with either one, who cares
Pepsi or Coke
Both Colas, both bad for you, who cares
Democrat or Republican
Politicians, doesn't matter, both full of crap with hidden agendas
