That is funny. 32 ones just because they don't like the guy. They just took it out on you, which takes real class and displays what a closed mind they have. lol People are funny.

I didn't get to score this, but if I did I would have given it a 5 simply because of several things you had no control over. I would have adjusted the white balance a bit and maybe cropped this a bit diffrent, but overall it is a very nice capture and a great way to remember seeing the President in person which should be a real honor no matter who is in office.

Not being American, I could also question the tie-in to the month, but luckily I know that November is the usual election month, so I wonder if you might be suffering there as well.

Agreed. I think I had too many reds in the photo. I will adjust before I put the print up for sale. The "W" was the first letter of our hometown but I thought it would be cool to keep it in. I felt it fit well with the President...

Give us a break, I'm sick of seeing these shots, even in the UK, so I don't know how you must feel over there? OK, its focussed and he looks like he's making a point but the background is far too distracting and a calendar? You're joking right?

First, you sound very biased and by being in the UK I know that you are. So, you admit the photo is focused and it look as though he is making a point so why not just stop there? Why bring the politics in? This is a photo challenge site. Judge my photo from that perspective.

Once again...this is a photo challenge site (unless I am missing something), look at the photo from that point of view...That's all I ask...

People are seriously pathetic.

well, I don't think ppl voted down because the subject. first, when you're not American this doesn't mean "November" in any way. This is an international web site, do you think that THIS says November for someone in India or Spain? Plus technically, the color balance IS pathetic, the picture is dark, and the background distracting. It doesn't matter who is the main subject.

I am completely aware this is an international site. And unless you bury your head in the sand you know that elections here in our great nation are held in November.

Secondly, as far as my photo goes....you're an idiot.

The lighting and focus is perfect. An amazing capture...especially for inside the hangar. You can be proud of this one!
(I can't believe the low votes you received. This site has been attracting a lot of immature voters lately.)

Excellent capture -- a lot of expressiveness without too much "action" and just the right amount of tonal difference between fore- and background figures. Actually, it's probably one of the most flattering pictures I've seen this election season.

The clever crop to keep just the "W" is an bonus.

Good shot. Can't really imagine it in a calendar. Lighting is good, focus is a little off (or to much motion). Cool that you got a shot of the man himself though. 5

The closed eyes and the bar across this photo detract for an otherwise excellent image for me. I would not buy this image on a calendar (but I did for a candidate ;) 5

Is that Schilling? I'm from MA and not a big fan of Bush. On to the picture. The focus is on the seal, which is okay. But as the subject is W himself, I wish you had tried him instead. Composition is good, the crowd behind doesn't detract from the picture whatsoever. Nice shot.

I happen to like him, so I'd like to give this a 11, but I think it might be too specific to a certain year (or period of four) to work in a generic calendar. For a 2004 calendar, it would speak loudly, but what would people say about this shot in 2011? Really nice shot of the pres by the way to have in your collection. He came to PA a million times but I never got to see him.

Hmmm. This is "deep." This November perhaps, but would there be relavence here for next years callendar? I'm not sure politics belongs on a callendar. The colours, however, certainly do depict a waning summer. Were you hoping to communicate something with the distance facial expressions? I daren't say more. (I'm not a US citizen btw, and only follow the politics there from a great distance.)

I'm sure you're getting a polar response based more on your subject than your photo... I'll try to avoid that... The head to the left of the President looks like it's attached to him (maybe an ear piece like he wore in the debates?)... A closer crop eliminating the line above his head might have helped too...

The faces in the background tell the story here. Problem is I do not see this on a calendar.

Looks like you have good lighting and I like the warm tones although it might be slightly leaning toward red. The composition, depth of field are also good. The seal really looks like it is glowing. The subject matter doesnt interest me but I'm sure there are people who would buy a calendar with this in it.

you're very brave presenting such an image to the voters, personally I cannot imagine this image on a calendar (except a republican publication)

I'm tired of this whole US voting thing.
Then again if you took this picture and put it in next year's calendar that would mean half of US population (and most of the world) would not spend a penny on that issue as I can imagine nicer views of November than a very controversial president of US. In not the best shot either.

If the subject was more to to left, the picture would be more interesting.
