i'm abit surprised at how many images are dependant on the title to make the connection to the challenge
and for a number of them .. it's quite a stretch ...
and for others, they are just really neet images ....
done first pass / do plusses & minuses & comments eventually
oh & sitting at a score of 5.2 . ... ouch ...

My out of the box entry is falling (4.1)... please think OPENLY when voting..
I have found a lot of the photographers on here to be more concerned with the equipment used, rule of thirds, etc. etc. than looking with an open (CREATIVE) mind. : O

Up almost a whole point from last night...I was bummed when I went to bed last night..but things are starting to look up.

So what does 'way to many of the same thing' have to do with the quality of the picture itself? Isn't good enough good enough? 10 same pictures that are good surely must be better than 1000 shitty different ones. |

I agree that even though many of them may have the same concept each of them was executed differently and stands out on there own for a variety of reasons. One shouldn't vote down because they feel it wasn't an original idea, vote on the quality of the photo itself. |

| This is the worst challenge for me so far.. Even got comments on WHERE I got my photo.. It's really getting rediculous. Maybe time for a change... again. |

hy there,
it's my first time posting a picture for one of the contests(just discovered this web page 1 week ago and I think it's great)
I agree with ralphnev that lots of pictures are depending on the title to make the connection to the challenge (mine also), but I just wanted to see how it will get rated and what people think about it. It's not my best picture ever, but since I did not have to much time for pictures lately, I just felt the need to submit something and see what happens (just throw the dices and see what do I get)..I'm a statistician, I like hasard :-). Well, until now I got this:

I was thinking along the lines of everyone knows it's yours and are tired of seeing your talent on the home page. LOL
3.7209 ? Dude - that HAS to hurt! At least I came through the night a bit better at 5.5000 with a fav no less.
Gonna' be a very long week.
Maybe D&L forgot to but batteries in the DPC calculator and it's really messing up the numbers. THAT would be the most logical answer, as nothing else is really adding up. (yeah, pun intended)

If you need more DQ's I'll be happy to volunteer! Fewer entries means more careful voting and thoughtful comments, so I'm just looking out for others. No need to thank me, just DQ my sorry excuse for an entry ASAP. It was actually just a shot of someone else's pro-drug artwork that I took 38 years ago with a Polaroid one-step, then Photoshopped extensively to give the appearance of a digital camera. Oh, and I accidentally lost the original in a submarine crash. ;-) |
