| yes - go for it.. show your stats. Thats the whole point of this thread :). It's generally reassuring to look at other peoples mediocre scores ! ( I generally only look at these threads if I'm not doing so well) |

I will be glad when the validation is posted. I really think this is suffering due to people thinking it is not legal. I know, I know everyone has been told not to vote down a shot because you think it might be illegal. . . . but I think it still happens. Good luck all :) |

This one was just too vague (and too open to interpretation to risk a good photo being voted down because of it), glad I sat it out.
Looking forward to the next two though! |

I have a good photo that is being voted down, but I certainly don't regret submitting it. 12 very positive comments and a favorite after only one day of voting can't be *all* bad :) Best of all, I learned a *ton* about specific lighting techniques putting my shot together, and that's *always* valuable.

roadrunner, welcome. I'm new here too, been hanging out here for about two weeks now...no really I have not even gotten off line since I have become an official member.. I think my own family members no longer recognize me as lately they have not seen me without a camera in front of my face. Your doing much better than I am.. I started out okay and am now sitting at a 4.2 :( I just hope I can learn from my mistakes..
I am begging for more comments... sigh*

OMG...... thank you for saying EXACTLY whats happeining to me.... i'm soooo addicted to photography, i actually joined another site last november and havne't moved from the computer since ( well only to go and take photo's hehehe)....... and my whole family think i'm in another world.... so good to hear other people actually live in my world with me......thanks.... will defiantly see you 'around'....

Keep the Aussie flag flying roadrunner we have quite a few of us here now.
Your current score is a very good start for your first image. I always aim for around six but if I end up with a five im still happy so in my book 5. anything is good. |

Aussies aussies everywhere... though thanks to kiwiness you new zealanders will have us covered in the ribbon-winning department for the forseeable future.
I'm now officially a little disappointed with this challenge. I have my 2nd lowest score ever - I also have 14 comments already, so at least something is going right :).
Actually - seeing as I decided to see whether I could create the ultimate cliche, I'm not entirely surprised at the result. |

hey gurilla, i from the Upper Hunter... where are you from?..... i feel a little silly now saying that looks like my photo is squashed, going by a few of you, this is a good result so far?... sorry didn't mean to sound big headed, just not sure how it all works yet......

No probs... I understood perfectly.
Have a look at some peoples profiles and look at their average score. DPC can be a tough market but it a very rewarding place to learn.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm a Queenslander, Maryborough.

I'm not a religious person what so ever, but i'm not going to deny a good score if it's deserved. There are so many different versions of "In the Beginning" that no one should judge you like that.

| Well, went to sleep last night at 4.96 and this morning when I woke up I'm at 4.97. Oh well if I sleep all day at work maybe by tonight I'll be at 5.0 |
