Four-point-oh on an image I adored. I was SURE I'd be in the mid fives. I guess it was a picture that only the photographer could love. I think I'm gonna hit the sack and hope it goes up by morning.
-Mutters and puts on jammies, thinking unpleasant and dark thoughts about such low voters. Realizes that the majority is prolly right and switches mumblings to accusations towards lousy software and a cruddy camera. Realizes that she's prolly still unduly passing the buck, pulls blanket over head, and shuts up for the night.-

Forget the life jacket - shifted from crying to laughing so much I peed my pants, and now I need a dry pair of skivvies, and NO, I ain't askin' to borrow yours. At least I'll feel warm on this chilly evening.

I'm getting hammered, I think I would've done much better had I copped out and just taken a snapshot of a popscicle stick cross silhouetted with a flashlight. Instead of people being open they're just looking at their preconceived and narrow ideas of "in the beginning" so far I think my favorite is the hands teaching/learning to play guitar...
btw what the hell is up with all the cheesy/hokey/crappy titles? |

| my shot is getting hammered too at below 5. I just hope it is not falling the victim of religon vs science argument, but perhaps it is... otherwise I can't really explain such a low score |

last i looked i had a 4.0, im trying not to hit the update button at least till tommarow, i thought this was my best so far.. I was surprised to see so many eggs and flowers my idea was not was redundant as i thought it was although im afraid i choose the wrong one.. i have tons of out takes.. ill post them when voting closes as they are all of the same thing as my submission.. ok gonna check again.!

AAAAAIIIIIEEEE! A few people I showed this image to congratulated me on my next ribbon. After 43 votes, I'm looking at a 3.7209 score- despite two commenters who loved it and a smack-you-in-the-face challenge connection. Looks like I'll be following a personal best with a personal worst. Ugh. Obviously...
My camera isn't good enough
The trolls are out in force
I'm a lousy photographer
Voters don't appreciate creativity
People aren't looking hard enough
I shoulda' entered a sunset/baby/egg
It's an Al Qaeda plot

| I'm also getting the stinky finger... too many of us shared one great idea. After all this time it still seems that a pic is not scored based on it's own merit, but rather beaten by the weight of the number of look-like entrees. The result... a good, above average pic gets a less than 5 vote. So be it, I suppose, as long as one is pleased by his picture. |

I've erred in the other direction. I've taken a break from reason and good judgement in the hopes of learning something new. The entry is not doing well .. 4.8 but at least I do have one comment.

I'd have been better off submitting the voodoo doll. I'm really appalled. I might have expected a score in the fives, but 3.66?! That wasn't even on the radar screen. |

I looked at my submission on my work PC yesterday and it looked too dark (darker than on my Macs at home). So I re-edited last night and submitted the new version. This morning on my PC, my entry looks awful. The colors are off and I'm not happy with it at all. I probably cost myself points because it's just not as attractive as it was 24 hours ago. Grrr.
Not doing well either... |
