I'll try again. How's this for T? Not T as in tree, but the tree looking like the letter T.

It's lower-case, and the other examples seem to be capitals. I don't know if that matters in this case.

You should see if you can find one of those Hawaiian Ti trees : )

Just mailed my paperwork to you back today John. I apologize for the delay ... sometimes life just takes over. ;-)

I mailed my paper work back, but have no idea if it arrived.

Me, too. I had a package bounce that I sent to John's address last August. It took two months for it to return to me. I resent it along with my paperwork for this project.

John, maybe you can list the names for paperwork you haven't yet received?

I only have 11 out of the 26 so far. I just hope it works out that we can finish these. I sent out an 'update' to the participatnts in the 50 state flag project yesterday and had two drop out at that time. I sorta figure the same sort of thing will happen with this one. Some people may have signed up with good intentions but just won't be able to complete the project for various reasons. I guess I should send out an update on this one as well since we set the initial deadline as January 31. I have only had one person from this project send me photos for it so far also....

I'll put together an update email tonight to see if I can find out how many will be dropping out... We can find replacements for them...
01/13/2005 05:28:40 PM · #184
I'd like to be one of the replacements provided I'm not totally pushed into rushing it to make up for their dropping out. I'd want a couple of weeks really to give time for thought AND to capture it, as I've finally got SOME work again this month. But I'd really like to do it.

That shoulnd't be a problem. Based on the actual feedback I have received so far, I'll probably have some either dropping out or not responding to my email that I'll send out tonight sometime. The project WILL come to completion, but whether or not its on schedule is up to those who have volunteered :)

I wasn't aware that a deadline had been set. I thought I had all the time in the world. Better get busy and take some pics I guess. :)

Don't get in too much of a rush because I'm realtively sure we will be extending well beyond the end of January...

An extension would be great for me. Between Holidays, hell at work, 4 weeks of overcast skies, and a general propensity toward procrastination I could use a couple extra weeks--say 'til Valentine Day?

(My paperwork's coming soon.)

John, just let me know - if there's a waiting list (he he he) put me right near the top please!

I have a spot for you but I'm going to wait till the end of the month for the initial deadline to reassign so I can do them all at once.

I seem to remember seeing these pretty frequently at secondhand stores -- you can probably get one for < $2.

OK... so I have the letter N. Here is one idea I had, Numbers. Wanted something colorful. Any suggestions on the different compositions or subject matter? Does the DOF work or should they all be in focus? Or should I scrap this entirely and focus on something else....

Nose, Noodle, needles, napkins... any others?

Thanks in advance for the feedback. :-)
01/20/2005 01:42:03 AM · #195
Personally I think the item you've chosen might be a bit confusing. It could also be used for "S" as shapes or "C" as colours or "B" as blocks. I admire your ingenuity and effort just don't think it really nails the letter like "nose" or "noodles" would. Hope this helps.

Kieran.

John,

I´m sure you´ve got a long waiting list but I´m very interested to go to the back of it ;)

I'll check it out this weekend...I do NOT want to bow out of this project!

Yeah, that was one of my concerns with using this as a subject. And since that's the first thing that was said about the image, it looks like it would be an issue. I'll try working on a different subject and maybe keep one of these as a back-up just in case nothing else pans out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :-)

Woohoo!!

I might be in luck!

I have an interest in vintage instruments and I might be able to buy this toy xylophone from the early 1900's for fairly cheap...the auction ends in 5 hours so I'll know then.

I should be able to make a decent X picture with this...
