Thank you Julianne. I also sometimes like a photograph that I can't love. And for some reason that paradox always impresses me even more. I like to think that it is an indication of our remarkable maturity, wisdom and objectivity. Even if it might actually indicate something a wee bit more sinister about the effect of advancing years. Well, mine, anyway. |

I don't vote anymore, but couldn't resist this challenge. Ben's masterpiece evoked this image:

although many thought it mine (hell, what a compliment!). Les ( whiteroom) should see it.

Have to admit that although I'm glad for all those images that did make it into the gallery and/or get a posty ribbon, I'm still a little bummed out that my image didn't make the cut :-/ |

don't take my picks too seriously. a lot of water went into the bucket too quickly. the 7s and 8s are the ones that splashed out. I am frankly very relieved to see other people posting their picks here, as it should be.
speaking of which, thanks for the drag, yanko, and thanks for the sprog comparison, Deb. They were cloned in Brazil. |

10s
9s
And the rest were 8s. Inspiring images. This has been a nice wake-up.

Thanks to those who gave my portrait of a usual subject a nod in this thread. Always a surprise and a pleasure to see any of my images show up in here.
And my top picks (dusted off the "too-too"s just for this challenge). And just to be clear, I would have voted all of these images just as high if this had been a regular free study.
