It was a wonderful challenge to view and to vote on. I'm thrilled to have pleased Don with a gallery-worthy effort, and that the voters found my image ribbon-worthy. All in all, a fine and interesting week, from a bear's perspective :-)

Thanks Don, it is really an honor to be a part of your gallery. You have really opened my eyes. I will never look at this thread the same way again!
And thanks to all the great comments during the challenge. It kept my spirits up even when my score was low. :) |

thanks mel, bear and all the rest who liked my entry. (it was a walk-by cubbyhole store and literally last minute entry).
it was a great challenge, fun to vote on, took us out of our comfort zones.
don's choices were interesting, unpredictable as always.
for me the winner by miles was

my favourite style of photography these days is to scratch away at the surface and see what "lies underneath the image" a sense of deconstruction.

Truly honored, sir. I'm going to print this bad boy out and wear it on my hat all winter. I take said hat off to the challenge as a whole and everyone that was a part of it. Speaking personally, I know I needed the wake-up call. |

I could not have celebrated by 100th challenge any more fittingly.
Thank you zencow and clive_patric_nolan for the recognition, and of course Don for giving me my first image in any gallery!!!! (and certainly De Sousa for getting the ball rolling back when...).
And bear_music for ALMOST giving me the paw...
And congratulations to EVERYONE for such a splendid showing. I seriously do not know how anyone chooses just 3, or 5, or even 10. I was blown away by the incredible scope of styles and subjects. Could there be any greater universe between
and
And I'm so excited that my shooting buddy ( melethia) and I ended up next to each other, AGAIN. But this time ON THE FRONT PAGE!!! wooT! Just watch out girl, next time I'll be the one ahead.
Very emotional images all around. To quote Paul, thank you. |

Fun challenge, lots of cool images. Didn't make it into the gallery but a least Ryan did, and apparently my image was a contender. |

Congratulations to everyone mentioned here, and to everyone who took a chance on themselves, whether recognised or not. Thanks to those who mentioned or commented on my own Torture Chamber photograph, including Don for the lovely little jewel of an icon for the Posthumous Art Gallery.
I loved looking at the images, but now I am loving even more flicking randomly through the results and reading the wonderful comments! Brilliant comments, top to bottom. Everybody can take a shiny Sovereign out of petty cash, with my compliments.
This was my own very top pick, by xion:
Aznym can make a great image from almost nothing. He's been doing it for years, and his work always repays a lingering look. |

What a weekfortnight! Thanks everyone.
Thank you yanko for ,
and of course posthumous for putting the pic in your gallery.
Appreciation does stimulate growth so well.
I am convinced that this challenge will lead to me seeing and taking pictures in the future which would not have caught my eye in the past.
