yes it is difficult to be judged more harshly on something you believe you did well on but I think all this posting your scores and crying over it is sorta silly. Did you work on your creation think it through.....did it please you working on it, did you try to figure out how to improve yourself and your craft while creating it?
Than really bottom line is the scores are subjective and yes we all want to PLEASE the world and have the greatest score but is it really that important that you spend your nights up the moment a new challenge is being judged to see how your entry will place by subjective folks? |

WOW. Mine is indoors, in a studio, color, and human. Without going into detail, it does have a couple of flaws and a somewhat controversial title. I hope it is the flaws bringing it down, 'cause the title was just a joke (and a funny one at that) :) |

I think they must have elimated some trolls overnight. My score has risen by .3 in the past 12 hours, so I am a bit happier now.

I'm a bit happier now, my score is also a bit higher since this morning. Thanks to the last voters! I admit I was quite dissapointed with the initial score, since I was expecting to do better with my entry. My subjective opinion is that it's quite good, considering the very unproffesional lightning and an old camera...

?!?! I've been asked for proof during the challenge more times than you have. It's usually NOT the SC that questions the validity of an entry (including yours), but our job is to check it out if something looks suspicious. If everything is legal, then you have nothing to worry about and could get an Admin Note to reassure other voters than the shot is valid. Failure to respond only hurts yourself. |
I will also add to this that there are many times that a picture is requested for dq/validation by the voters. When we see the photog's comments (or sometimes just by looking at the picture) we can tell it is legal, but because it is getting more than one request, we go ahead and look at the original to add a validation note.
Rarely is it the evil SC that initiates the validation request. |

I'm happy to report that my image has been validated, the score is currently below both mine and the site average but I think it's a fair score so far.

I know you are angry, but don't be spiteful. The last time you got asked for a validation, one of the tools used was illegal. It is the voters that ask for validation 9/10. It is just a blip on the scale of nothing compared to life Jan. You know I love your work and how you do it, I am a great admirer of yours, but that was not cool, so chill, and have a drink with me! |

If you have followed the editing rules for the challenge, then consider it a COMPLIMENT that someone thinks you have achieved the impossible with the rules applied.
Send it in... SC is our friend... not out to 'get us'. :) |
