a little catch up after a weekend away from the computer.

Didn't have great shots, so I really tried to do a little something out of nothing in the post processing.

I want to thank everyone for the comments on the cabin photos. For those who asked, the cabin is on the Mississippi on the Illinois side, on an island called Big Island. It usually does flood, but not like this, usually only a couple of inches get over the island. Of course it has flooded bad before like in 2001 and 1993 and I think sometime in the 70's. I just hate to think of the poor animals who have to find somewhere else to live.

Today;

Here is day 6 after editing. Somehow, the original with crop only, got uploaded. The color was off because it was shot thru window tint. No need to comment on it, thanks.

Hope to catch up with commenting. I've lost comments by not waiting long enough for the post to download, so I'll be awhile checking up on myself, and trying to slow down to dial-up speed.

Day 11:

Shot for another project, hence the boring subject. I wound up using the SLR for that, because I just wasn't thinking. I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed for really clear water drops with the Panny. For some reason I never thought of increasing the ISO -- I was in a hurry because the tide was coming in. I didn't hurry enough though, because I got soaked by one really big wave that washed over the whole beach. Don't worry, the camera's okay. :)
