So this was what I did enter:
This was an iteration that my kid wanted......noise, no moon, and softening: [thumb]625767[/thumb]
And this one was in response to much commentary about composition and FX: [thumb]630431[/thumb]

Funny thing is, I like 'em all, and none of 'em really capture how this tree rerally looks when you're satnding out in the field watching the su & moon rising and setting and watching the rainbows of shades and light levels.......it's truly beautiful!

It's definitely my favorite tree!

A view out through the back door using my new macro lens. I tried taking a quick macro shot of a flower this afternoon, but it was so gloomy that I only ended up having to use ISO 1600 and still couldn't manage to stop down, so it ended up looking rubbish. This is a bit better as photographs go.

By the way, for those who've asked, I actually live in mid-Essex in the good old UK.

Day 10 Lovely Weather... yeah right!

Manchester as an industrial city is plagued with derelicts of old factories and warehouses. This one is just across the street.

Well, gang - I think I'm going to survive. As I type I feel like I'm recovering at last. These have been intense three days.

Again I didn't take a fresh photo, but instead processed one of my Florida ones. It was taken in January - so it's not totally off.

It rained most of the day today, at least it wasn't snow! I never realized how difficult it is to shoot in the rain.

Finally, catch-up time! At the moment I'm in the car for 4 hours each day, working in an office for another 9, sleeping for 8, and working behind a bar for another 2. It leaves me 1 hour to do everything else, and try and snap a couple of photos, lol! I'm looking forward to the weekend ;)

I wish I had more time to actually think about the photos I'm taking, but then again moments from my day are an interesting way to capture the month.

Day 7:

The office I'm working in at the moment, whoring myself for the cash... I'm on a late shift this week, so daylight is a foreign concept, lol

Day 8:

Lots of time in the car, so I had some fun trying to get some slow shutter speed pics from the car :)

Day 9:

Pretty lights!

Day 10:

Lying on the couch, shattered, and I decided to take snaps of my boyfriends dirty toes, hee hee.

Well.....I actually got out and shot something specifically for this side challenge. This is an old outbuilding about a mile and a half from home, and it's not got enough WOW!!! factor for the Abandoned Buildings challenge, but I think it's got that weathered, forlorn charm that make it interesting nonetheless.

I hammered this thing mercilessly for about a half an hour 'til I got it just like I wanted it.

What chu tink????

I have three photos on offer today. Please do not feel you need to comment on each of them since I am placing two as a different view of the Anini sunset shot on Day 7.

Lumahai, my favorite beach.

Anini AM and the waves off the reef.
