 Taken at Morro Bay State Park, about 5 miles north of my house. This creek runs into the salt water of the bay and creates an estuary, a salt water marsh that is home to lots of birds. And, again, no birds in my picture! They are all to the right of me, on the other side of the creek where they are safe from stalking photographers.
Just to prove there really are birds out here:

What a nice big open place to relax. I see why you like it there. I would guess that there are a lot of macro opportunities there too.

peaceful looking place...when i wan tot get some action in my bird shots, I clap my hand s and give a hoot and they usually take off! Gotta be ready with cam though...i bet this was very pretty in person, in your imageit seems to go on forever, nice long DOF
