Our third graders performed at our PTA meeting this afternoon. They did a Christmas around the world theme and sang in English, Japanese, and Spanish.Gabby was one of today's stars- Thus she deserves the spotlight.

More birds. These are baby barred owls. They are on a platform in a barn. There are actually 3 of them, but this pair looked better than the 3rd one in the face, so I cropped it off the right side.
I didn't get to shoot today with work and family things going on, so this one is from yesterday. I am tired, and will try to catch up on comments tomorrow night if I am feeling better. When I am this tired, you would not likely be happy with my comments anyway LOL.
The shot with the tree is the original camera file for the one posted last night. It is a balance between getting the shot exposed enough to work with, and getting the sky objects smeared by the Earth's rotation. Six seconds is about as long as a stars and moon shot can be done at that focal length (105mm) without them appearing too smeared.

This picture wasn't taken on a "prescribed" day, but I am working to learn what the different functions in Elements do.. and thought I'd share so I'm not completely ignoring everyone.
