| I also like the nontraditional lighting here, but would have preferred the hot spot on her face. As it is, my eyes go right to her bright red shoulder instead of her smile and garland in her hair. |

| Gabby looks very happy and as if she is proud that her mother cares enough to photograph a special time with her at her school. The unusual lighting with the one spot makes for a technically not right shot, but for some reason, it does not seem to matter with this image. I like the way the light falls off as it goes up across her face. It seems to add to the "live shot" effect, and strengthens the look of this being a capture of a moment to savor. |
