I am being lazy...and not reading the entire thread...but is there any indication of a starting date?

A) For those who don't read each and every thread, the Hogs are not returning for Season 2. You can relax.
B) I think the stratified divisions is an excellent way to allow the maximal amount of teams to be competitive as the season continues.
C) I do think the playoffs need some tweaking. |

| We're currently going over feedback from the recent survey and discussing the effectiveness of season 1 and how we can resolve the issues with it for season 2. Currently there's no ETA on season 2. =/ |

| yknow speaking of dpl, i have no shot at ever winning a ribbon or maybe even cracking a 6 for all i know, but how can i find a team of losers to take me when the time comes? |

That is a very good idea and would give teams a longer time to form, free agents time to find a team, and new teams time to interact.

I get the impression that some people are doing just this behind the scenes.
I'm just a reg user (one challenge a week is enough for me, lol), so I can't start a team. But if you want to be captain (at least on a temp basis), why not look through some of the profiles of us losers, er, free agents. And maybe send some invtes/PMs.
I agree that team creation and interaction should be allowed during the "off season." |

I agree that team creation should be allowed in the off season, I also wanted to add for all in the free agent pool there are plenty of people who haev never won a ribbon on DPL teams, the best thing you can do for yourself would be to continue to enter challenges. In the DPL its important the the teamates enter challenges. You cant win if you dont enter. This will show the perspective teams that you are willing to make the commitment.

took the words right out of my mouth, doc. I informed my team at the end of last season that'd be bailing out for next season, but I guess I thought things were gonna go shotgun speed. The break was well needed, but I'm feeling the urge to play again :)
Not to mention, Joe Dannels and Mark Peters are stinkin' money week in and week out ... takes the pressure off :)

| What will be the approximate start of DPL Season#2? It doesn't matter to me whether it's soon or not until 2012. But, it would be helpful to know. Some of us do not have the time to check the forums in total every day. Maybe I've missed an announcement. |

This may sound odd, as you Hogs kept our team from any chance at winning our division, LOL, but competing against you really helped us (or maybe I should say me - don't want to speak for the rest of my team) ratchet it up a notch. I'm also in favor of the Hogs staying on. Team captains have the right to recruit anyone they wish, and there's no shortage of talent on DPC.

Well personally, I'd like to see the hogs each spread their talent across the team pool. Not concerned competitively, but I think the benefit is in the team interaction. By mixing up among the teams, a lot of people can learn from them.
And looking at it from their perspective, I think being a member and sort of a "coach" on a more "balanced" team, and seeing whether they can help ratchet up the team a notch or two directly, would be more personally rewarding than winning.

So with almost 2 months having passed since the end of DPL 1.0 I have to ask.....what is the status of DPL 2.0? No news in this case is not necessarily good news.
How about an update for the huddled masses yearning to compete free? |
