These aren't all that great at showing where I live but they do give a flavor of the place in a way.
Went for a bike ride on Sunday - it was a lovely day here. Got lost. Found a new little town I hadn't seen before. Had a great time! Some shots from that:
Went to the Fasching celebration in Mainz on Monday - a very drab, dreary, dark day but it was an interesting experience.
And one from this evening:

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!

Day21: Desdemona in the Snow
I have missed y'all and have been tearing my hair out by not being able to post in this project.
The storm trashed my ability to upload/download anything and I have also started......MY NEW JOB!!!!!!
I will post pics as I can.....I don't want to appear too eager as this may have been a fluke post, but I'll see what I can do to bring central Pennsylvania back for your viewing pleasure.
Anyway.....after snow, sleet, ice, and arctic temps to start my new job, I thought I'd share how I drove home today!
ETA: My new workplace!

Day 20
This is my post for Day 20 - taken Sunday 18th. Not had much chance to shoot here in Finland just yet. It's been busy (and rather cold - 18C). It's a shame, because the cloudless skies would have given me some good opportunies (thinking tree shots here!)
Anyway, here's another Chicago shot to be going on with. (unedited apart from resize to 640). No Photoshop until the weekend!

I'm sure these are robins. That means it's spring!
Robins are the Michigan state bird.
I've been slacking in my comments. I'll try to get on that later tonight.

Day 20
This was taken while I was out walking around the town of Fredericksburg. I often do this both for the exercise and the ability to take pictures. Today it was almost 60F so it was the first day in a while that I have been able to do this.

Day 16: Last Man Standing....
Will try to catch up....have a *LOT* of comments to go back and make....
My favorite fields at the edge of civilization have onesies of trees like this scattered here and there. This one looks the most desolate and stark.

Day 21 - Gillette Castle Images
Back of castle which faces the Connecticut River
Turn around and this is what you see. View of the river from balcony.
Shot through a window, because the castle is closed for the season, this is the great room and the picture is William Gillette who was a famous actor and had the castle built. His most famous role was as Sherlock Holmes.
Hope to get to more comments soon. Am really trying to get voting, which I haven't been doing much of lately. Hope you enjoy my images, whether you leave a comment or not.

Day 21
This was a little blurry. Mostly because I haven't the nerve to interrupt the two of them so I took it from further away than I wanted. So I figured I would play with it and see what happens. I am not sure if I like it but here goes. |

Yall have been busy - I've scanned through the thumbs and am seeing amazing photos. Needless to say, I'm behind on both posting and commenting.
My car was declared a total loss. So here (in case you're sick of seeing it) is the very last of my car pictures. I haven't even shot anything else in the past few days because I've been dealing with insurance, chiropracter, lawyer, etc., etc.
Keep your fingers crossed that I get something even better! :o)
After Thought: Here's an image I've been meaning to share. It's not super fresh, but I like it.

It was one of those "pictures everywhere I look" kind of days. I filled 2 cards with about 200 images. There will be a few more in my portfolio tonight at the top. Comment on only one or none, as I know how much time it takes. Thanks for looking. I will be passing out comments again later this evening, when I finish being overwhelmed with images.

Day 21: Einstein
Update on JerseyGenie: she did break her leg last night, and she's had surgery tonight to stabilize it. After the swelling subsides in several days, she'll need additional surgery. It'll take about 3 months before her right leg can bear weight.

Day 22 - Healesville, Victoria, Australia
Visited my childhood home today - our family farm. My parents are retired and the left over machinery is no longer being cared for - as a result things are falling apart where they were last left.
This Jeep is a Legend in our family - my son adores it - it's known as The Old Bomb.
Sadly she no longer works - RIP Old Bomb.
