This statue of Albert Einstein sits in front of the US National Academy of Sciences, which advises the US government on all science issues.

It's just across Constitution Avenue from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, but it's kind of hidden by trees, so not many people know about it.

Once again, I was lucky that a family was there taking pictures so you can see how big Al is.

This is another example of how much you can change lighting in post processing.

Here's the original:

Wow - my Mom has a picture of my brother and I sitting on that statue from years ago! The editing is great. I just saw this thread and thought I'd check it out...

The statue looks a little alive. If there weren't a real person in the photo, it could be a bit creepy. Aside from my overactive imagination... great shot and PP - thanks for showing the original.

Nice shot, well chosen, composed and processed. I like the post processing; amazing how much that now seems indispensible to me, when before December I thought I didn't need it! Thanks for showing us the original, too.

That is amazing! And so interesting. I'm so glad you showed us the photo with a teeny tiny person in the photo. I never would have understood the massive scale of it!

I am so sad about Jeanne. That is TERRIBLE! Poor baby.

I'm going to go PM her now.

I like how there is person in the photo for perspective. Your PP is subtle and works well.

Now this one I have seen, and have a picture of somewhere in my files. One of my coworkers in Texas is a big fan of the guy (we're both geeks) so we HAD to go visit him on a business trip to DC. I like Al hangin' out in the snow.
