This is the picture of which I am most proud ... it is one that scored ok to average .. but that is I think partially because over here it has total meaning to most people who are kiwis .... I love the colours and the imperfections .. but also I love that this is the first shoot I did without my partner being there (he was in bed}.

I took the time to polish the koru (which was in the middle of the road on a traffic island) with oil and then take the shots .. only 100+ of them ... it was an interesting shoot ... but also I felt the picture to me shows power.

this one. I was after a certain look and feel when I shot and processed this and was able to achieve exactly what it was I was after. A large print of this now hangs proudly in mny living room.

Congratulations! At the first glance I thought it was a setup. Incredible message.

&

The first one "Agave Blue", as not only do I love it, but it has also has received the most comments and favorites.

Followed by the transition image of "Agave Mauve" which is "Agave Blue" inverted..... I love the new one, as it looks like Stained Glass, and quite transparent.

Both image mean the world to me, and I love how many have people have commented, that they look like paintings.....

First shot that came out exactly as I had envisioned it.

I'm most proud of this one because it was planned. I had tried for over a year to get a close up of this coyote.

From my first all digital wedding.

I spent too many hours on this shot for the Yellow challenge. I hand painted expressions on my "models" and I personally designed the flasher's raincoat. When it was all done, I panicked and entered something else - something boring and poor. I vame back to this later and realized I like it. It gets a laugh, and so what if it's not technically perfect? Neither was the loser that took it's spot. So I now post it here proudly.
One day I may do a series on the marshmallow bunnies - they're in the freezer, waiting...

I have always been the one on the "other" side of the camera, and have hated having my picture taken. So I just set my camera up and snaped a few shots of myself. Changed them to black and white and was happy about the results.

I have so many that I'm proud of for many different reasons:

...because it was my first ribbon ever, and I took it with a 2mp camera

...because it was my second ribbon ever, even if it was just an HM

...because it's my favorite from the first series of photos I ever took using the manual settings instead of relying on filter presets

...because it just turned out exactly right

I have three pictures that are my favorite. Not the best images but I like them.

This is the first photo that I sold the usage rights for. It was bought by a New York Times/Forbes columnist. I sold a few large prints of it as well. Money wise, this is my most successful photo.

Now that I look at it though, I think I need to go back and take this one again... several times. ;)

When I read the challenge title "Burst of Color" this was pretty much what I pictured. It took way too long to get it just the way I wanted, especially using a little hand held point and shoot camera. But it was worth it :)

Because its a photo that I took of my girls in a rare moment. I love that they are looking right into eachothers eyes. This wasnt set up...just happened.

this one because I love it...
because it was recognized by photoworkshop.com's digital imaging contest...
because I got the coolest comments of encouragement from this site when it was in my portfolio...
because it expresses something more than the sum of its parts...

This image required a lot of cloning because there was a lot of toys on the floor and a magazine on top of the dog. I had two photos, one with good overall composition but without the cute expression on the dog's face and a second that didn't work except for the dog's expression. I decided to copy the dog's eyes from one image and paste them into this image resulting in what I consider a very cute photo. I have since realized that I should crop the image tighter on the left and right.
I like the message that the photo envokes where the dog is thinking something like; "I thought I was a bird dog not a jungle gym!"

I recently took this when I was on a trip. I'm not saying it's the best picture ever, I'm just pleased with it moreso than my usual pictures :)

I tend to lose interest in most of my stuff but this one I still like a lot. However I may be the only one since it hasn't moved anybody to comment yet.

Because this was the first time I'd ever attempted layering images and it turned out to be a pretty successful experiment.

Because this was the first time I feel like I actually achieved the magical/mystical quality that I envisioned in my head.
