GOod one. I'd duotone the entire thing, not just leaving the nails purple. Nice composition and focus. |

good portrait. it portrays an authentic attitude and emotion. heck, I would even say that it portrays thought. The "accessorized" hands give a hint at characterization but take second place to the position and tension of the hands. |

I love this photo! It captured my attention big time. Partial because I love purple. :-) I think this is a great photo of your wife because it shows that even though she is an "mature" woman, purple nails shows a childish / silly side of her. Makes me feel comfortable.
I know once you capture a photograph, it can't be captured again...but if you ever photograph her on her other side, you could make her wedding ring pop or something.
I don't care what other people say, but I absolutly love this photograph.

Beautiful shot & model. Not crazy about the combination of the sepia tones & purple nails - I like the selective desat idea, but think it would work better with B/W or a more similar tone to purple. She looks very pensive... Nice capture of emotion. |

kiss her you fool(umm.....that's in answer to your question, couldn't resist)
It's a good picture. She looks like she isn't comfortable but she is so lovely it's sad that she doesn't want the camera pointed at her. The tones are rich, but I don't understand what you're trying to say with the nails still being so colorful. Have you tried doing a session with her using a telephoto lens? A lot of times the distance allows the model to feel more free and helps them relax.

I like this alot. The purple nails work well with the warmer tones you used for the skin. I like her profile and pensive expression. Nice clear eyes too. |

I like that the eyes / facial expression are subtley expressive. The lighting may not be ideal, since it is very uniform (no shadows, really), but in candid situations we can't be too fussy about the lighting, can we? |

I don't care for the sepia tones in the photograph, they fight with the blue undertones on her nails. I feel like if this image is sepia then the nails should not be in direct contrast to that image. I think a more traditional B&W image would support the nail color. In fact the nails overtake the subject and become the focus in this image. Other than the tones (easily remedied) I think this is a nice capture. |
