I'll have to mark this one as an instant classic...very nice! I don't know if the mood or the texture wins me over more.

This is a delight to observe.

This is really fine. It's a shame more people didn't appreciate it. DPchallenge is fun but scarily superficial at times.

I was daunted by the number of entries, so I didn't vote on this challenge. It's a pity, because I missed this. Beautiful with a wonderful use of grain.

This photo is hugely under-rated, IMO. I would add it to my favorites, except that I already added your other version to my favorites some time ago! LOVE the photo, and your post-processing, too! Thanks for sharing your post-processing notes. But how did you get that grainy look in the sky? Was that done in-camera?

Another underrated image. Ubique is right. This is another of those images I wish I had taken. You brought out the scene and the emotion beautifully with your post processing.

Thanks for returning for another look and this gracious comment, much appreciated,

Love it! So simple, so subtle, yet so deep. I love the grain -- it really creates the mood here. I like the choice of color, too.

This is a very interesting image. I like the distorting effect of the mirroring water surface.
I'm also inerested in the noise in your image. It looks really good, I'd love to know how you created it. 10.

I'll bet there has been some mixed comments about this photo - but I for one absolutely adore it. I think the colour and noise create an absolutely amazing sense of space. I think you've captured this wintry feel absolutely perfectly. Well done. Hope you do well. 10.

I like the Grain. But your line is too centered...

Excellent image treatment here. Really adds to the foggy/dreary feel of the image.

The grain is really effective on this shot, and I really like the simplicity.

seems like an excessive use of noise. A winter walk in my mind would convey cold - blue tones, not greens.

too much grain for my taste

Love this image. Love the toning, the noise, the color cast, the mood, the emotion. Okay, I love it all. 10

Composition is very pleasing. Grainy appearance enhances, but is almost over-powering. Perhaps a finer grain would change my impression.

love the grainy look, but this image would be much better if you crop an inch of the bottom :)

this is really cool. the greens are good and the contrast with the black is neat. the only i would suggest would be a slightly tighter crop to give the impression that the walk is a long and cold one.

Beautiful example of sympathetic use of processing to enhance the qualities of the image that were already there. The reflections of the walkers makes the centred "horizon" perfect. Nice work. 8.

Nice vibe indeed - love the watery, grainy feel. I would have dropped the saturation a little more though to cool it down further and add more gravitas.

Wonderful photo, maybe a bit too grainy for my taste, but with interesting tone and full of relaxing atmosphere. Well done! 8

Nice use of image grain. Perhaps a bit overdone, but still very effective. Nice green toning.
