Film? You mean like in the cinema? Oh well, I never directed but always wanted :P

Don't be afraid... I was the owner of a late 20 year old Canon A-1, we learned that we have officially lost it a few days ago from a mechanic (Though it wasn't working properly for about 2 years so I stopped using it a few months back). And now I miss film.

This is a bad scan of one of my favorites taken with film (VPS), I shot it on a gloomy day with my Hassy at Arrowhead Golf Course, Colorado. Would loved to have had that shot for the Ansel Adams challenge.

not much at all...cloned out a bit fo "dirty spots", used brightness contrast, and unshap mask becausae it looses sharpness in the upload.

This is one I just like. Film 2 1/4 trans, scanned, Photoshop and printed on a Lamda.

Just one I happen to have handy. I don't know that it is my favorite, but I like it.

No contest. This is easily my favorite, taken nearly 6 years ago with a cheap Olympus Stylus camera in Maine.

I don't know if this is my best, but I like it

And what about our worst film photo, like when you accidentally push the shutter button when looking for dirt on the lens.

This is the only film image I have scanned (mostly due to the scan coming out so poorly). This is actually a very nice photo, taken with a disposable camera. Took me a long time to sneak up to that sheep with no zoom and get The Matterhorn in the back. I always think of this photo when I think of shots I am most proud of getting. I will have to scan a better version at some point.

It's a not good scan of a physically damaged 4x5, but one of my best shots.

I've got a dedicated Nikon film scanner on my desk if you'd like a better scan.

Those were taken a loooong time ago. About 10 years or so...
Unfortunately I have a pretty lame scanner but I guess those came out pretty decent

The two guys in the boat were fine with some bumps and bruises. The boat was a different story. This was taken with my Rebel XS and Sigma 70-300mm lens. Come to think of it I miss using that camera. I just got tired of the film and developing costs.

It may not be my *best* film shot.. but it's certainly one of my favorites, and is the best one that I have available to me at this moment to post.

*EDIT* and please excuse the border, it's in the style of my old website, and I didn't feel like cropping the shot out of it. Lazy. lol.

funny that this post should come up today. i was helping my mom clean the house (have been painting for the past 2 days straight, actually), and she came across my old Photography I portfolio from High School.. I was planning on scanning them and uploading them sometime soon.. a couple pinhole shots and the rest on a 35mm (don't remember the make). I thought they were fantastic way back then and my memories were giving me images of grandeur! now that i look at them i think "hmm.. composition isn't so hot here... very low contrast here.. this one could use a tighter crop.. etc, etc". i really want to upload them and maybe play with the contrast and whatnot in photoshop, as some I still do really like. you all have some very wonderful shots, keep them coming!
