Interesting contrast of subject. Refreshing feel too, but let down by very poor sense of focus, both compositionally and technically - might like it generally, but its wiped out all quality of texture for me.

great sense of texture. not wholly convinced about that stalk at the contrary angle - serves to break what might otherwise have been a pretty dull composition, but I'm also not sure that it mightn't have been a beautifully simple composition.

Better than most.Very good on the lacing, not wholly convinved by the composition. Has real mood, which puts it above the field to start with.

Interesting shape. background shows a lack of planning, and distracts from the concentration of attention on that marge. Lighting is not bad to shaow the texture of teh stuff.

Brick and Roses

Comment:
Nice thinking, nice idea for a contrast of textures. compositionally, I don't think this works - the relative angles of the two subjects is unharmonious, and the exclusion of so much of the rose (and perhaps also of the brick, though less so) seems restrictive. Your lighting hasn't allowed very much of the textures to come though however - it seems too general, not allowing those little graduations of surfaces to show.

I'm sorry, I find this the most abused technique around here. In a texture challnge, I can't for the life of me see the point of this selective de-saturation. Emphsising the green - this has what to do with a sense of texture, or'the interaction of light and a three dimensional surface'. 1

I'm sure I commented on this already. Quite good, for a rushed shot (if your title's to be believed). Like the blance of the light and the clock, and the progression of light across the frame. Orientation of the clock face bothers, and there isn't a really good sense of feel in it.

Only that brief reflection of the leg of the chair (?) suggests anything to do with texture here. Quite intriguing contrast of patterns of light and shade, with the shadow and the laying of wood, but texture it ain't, I'm afraid.

Texture: Wood

Comment:
Almost too well lit - I mean that its a pure head-on illumination. taking the light more to angle across the wood would produce much more feeling of texture. What you've shown here is more about the paterning of colours in it than the feel of it. Some sense of the striations from the saw though.

Comment:
Bruightness of the white background is making it difficult to feel that I can really see the detail of teh spoon and board. Your lighting has become so very general that I don't get much sense of feel from this. In its way a good shot, but it relegates the texture, the feel of the thing, for me.
