i like the negative space

I thing the clock needs to be in focus. maybe.

interesting comp but quite plain around the top - a more rustic wall would be better.

No (apparent) relationship to the theme; uninteresting picture badly light. Can't help wondering why you bothered to submit, unless as a joke. 1...

Not much texture in your shot. Your image seem compressed a lot if you look at the concentric light circle on the wall. Maybe trying to use a better JPEG quality in your software will help improve this

On my monitor you can see quantizations on the wall, and the black in the clock is VERY black. This was a great title with a good composition.

Nice shot, interesting lighting. Nice sense of texture.
02/22/2004 04:32:40 PM
didnt have time to find texture either,,,,

I think your title sums up the picture to be honest, not much to do with the challenge here.
02/22/2004 05:14:16 AM
I think you would have been better off to skip this challenge if you didn't have anything better than this to enter.
02/20/2004 07:21:46 AM
I'm sure I commented on this already. Quite good, for a rushed shot (if your title's to be believed). Like the blance of the light and the clock, and the progression of light across the frame. Orientation of the clock face bothers, and there isn't a really good sense of feel in it.

So why should I have time to vote on it?

Smooth? That's a tough sell.
02/19/2004 10:06:49 AM
Ah come on, you could've come up with something if you had time to shoot this. No excuses! hehehehehe
02/18/2004 07:57:23 PM
Dont really see any textures here...
02/18/2004 04:52:09 PM
Wall. Okay, well - it does have texture. Clock adds a point or two for interest. That's about it.
02/18/2004 04:31:22 PM
SMOOTH is a texture. Time has texture... what more could you ask? (Only a littl judicious cropping to avoid the light vignette, perhaps.)
02/18/2004 02:09:30 PM
I'm not picking up the texture on the wall, if any, on this computer......I like the pic for another challenge, but not this 'time'..sorry about the pun.
02/18/2004 08:59:16 AM
then why enter? ;-)
02/18/2004 04:50:01 AM

HAHAHA, neat idea, but i think youre right, you really didnt consider the theme much in this photo.
