Stay Awayby lebowskiComment: These shots seem forced, now - perhaps just a function of seeing so many so quickly. It doesn't ... well, tell me anything ... just doesn't seem apt to the subject; it feels like taking an image and then putting it in an expanse of white(ish). Obviously technically adept stuff; I just can't see it as an organic image. |

Sky Doughnutby joe_minerComment: A very fine exposure/processing. Lovely detail and definition of the progression of light here. Can't quite bring myself to acccept it as minimalism - there's just too much going on. Though in another sense, of course, there's only very simple processes, adding up to this complexity, which is entirely the remit of minimalism. I rest confused. |

Greenpointby paha_lComment: Too extreme for my taste as an abstract, and lacking even the richness of shade that might have made me want to stop and look at it much, I'm afraid. I think you could have enhanced the impact of the whole image with some judicious brighness work - but I can't pretend to be understanding of this approach, so must presume this is exactly what you wanted. |

Out of Wall St.by charmayneComment: Top image. A shame you couldn't just have kept the brightness of that cloud opening under control - one senses detail of light and shade there that would have made this spectacular. But it's a difficult metering situation, to be fair. Did you shoot RAW? That might have given you the option to get that back under control in processing ... |

Out in the fieldby KarANNComment: A solid, if perhaps uninspired, meeting of the challenge. Could certainly do with some enhamncement of the colours - just bringing the levels sllider to the right a bit would add depth to that green, at least. |

An Eveningby Joe_CoolComment: As an idea, excellent - meets the challenge absolutely. Your technical execution of it isn't up to much however: blurry, indistinct, and lacking much variation in the colour tones. It has potential, for sure. |

ANZAC Day - Remembering a fallen soldierby hsvhoonComment: I think you need to put some work into composition - this just doesn't work: the near-centred placing of the people, cutting the horizon through them like that, the big shadows in the edges of frame. Couple that with a rather over-exposed image as a whole, and it's bad news: you could bring the levels down in the entire thing, which would bring life to the colours and the sky. But its that compositional thing that lets this idea down for me. |

The Eccentric Barmanby AlexMontyComment: I somehow always think of minimalism being more stern than this - not so lighthearted. I don't really know why, possibly because it seems such a cery intellectual philosophy. This is great though - image and title. |

Stranded...by TerramarComment: I like the texuring of this, but that sky feels so very bizarre ... even though I'm sure it's a levels/exposure thing, it just is weird. |
