I think that apart from actually taking the photo again and changing the angle and things like that, I think this is pretty much a well finished piece and I wouldnt change anything about it. I like it. Plus your friend likes it as well :-)

I like everything about your photo except the subject, I almost felt like I was on a deserted island. put a computer set where the dog is and a unicycle where the jogger is and you're in business.

I wish that all the plants were gone and all you could see was sand in it's place, but the rest of the photo is pretty good.
