Resurrectionby greenem2Comment: interesting interpretation, I'm sure you'll stir up some unkind comments. Well composed but the lighting needs some work. Perhaps a white card/ sheet of paper as a reflector to the right and pointing down would have lightened the shadows to the right of the cross ? You want to keep some of them but lighten them. Good attempt. |

From bud to bloomby RWTaylorComment: focus seems a bit soft/ off. Did you try sharpening at all ? The soft focus in general works for the subject but a bit sharper would have really sold it. Light is a bit low/ underexposed as well, even more so than the subject should warrant |

Ringing The Changes by GordonComment: Thanks to everyone who liked this. It isn't technically a black and white shot, as it went from colour to a final duotone shot, which gives the slight red tint to the 'blacks' I liked this more than a pure B&W, as I got married in a kilt with a lot of maroon, so it seemed appropriate. I was suprised by the number of people that commented on the lack of anonymity - didn't realise it would be such an issue. |

Java2Javaby justineComment: good attempt. Framing is a bit off, with a cluttered background and the bottom of the drawer missing. Maybe a higher angle would have worked. You could have turned the grinder handle a bit so it was in the shot too (pointing to the right ? |

Winter to Springby jimmspComment: Could maybe be a lot closer in and just shoot one of these pushing up - the one in the upper left might have been a good candidate ? |
