this picture would be *SO NICE* if you could see more of the grinder! it's too tightly cropped for me, but the background and lighting is great. i don't even like coffee! just to be nitpicky beans and grounds look a bit contrived, a bit too carefully placed.

Nice idea and good enough photo - but the background is very distracting...

good idea.

nice -- the background stuff gives it a feeling of warmth

very unique. one of my favorites.
04/26/2002 04:35:00 PM
Great idea. I think I would have tried to eliminate a little more of the backgound with either a slightly different angle or tighter cropping.
04/26/2002 03:06:00 PM
Good clarity, great transition.

I don't feel the smell of java from this photo... these beans could be plastic. Experiment more with lighting.

Awesome composition and great colors.

Gotta love the bean!

I like this photo. Looks like an ad for coffee Hhhmmmmmm.. ahhhhhhh. I can almost smell the coffee!

Wonderful, my only change would be front edge be in focus but what do I know.
well, one other, the beans are falling out of the tilted bowl.

Good idea, I can almost smell that! The background is a tad bit distracting, maybe you could give it more blurr
04/24/2002 01:18:00 PM
good shading and lighting on the differnt colors of brown. Nice texture to the picture
04/24/2002 07:39:00 AM

Way cool grinder! Where did you find it? Nice crisp foreground.
04/23/2002 05:58:00 PM
Not a coffee lover, but nice transition.
04/23/2002 05:46:00 PM
Yes, but what if you'd got a bean being actually crushed?
04/23/2002 04:34:00 PM
Wow, how did you think of that. Great picture.
04/23/2002 01:00:00 PM
I think you've got a great idea here that could benefit from a little additional work. I find the background a little distracting -- perhaps choose something more neutral, or choose an even more shallow depth of field to make it more unfocused.

Wonderful! would like more of the grinder in the photo tho
04/23/2002 12:02:00 PM
Very good impression of transition. I would have liked it better if the background wasn't that disturbing.
04/23/2002 09:41:00 AM
i could almost smell that ground coffee
04/22/2002 10:14:00 PM
I like this old grinder. The location and framing doesn't seem to do it justice. A cup of streaming coffee would have completed the transition.
04/22/2002 07:41:00 PM
great depth in the colors. I really liked the angle, also.
04/22/2002 06:48:00 PM
Nice shot ... the background is a little distracting, but overall, very nice! Include a cup of coffee and you have a 3 phase transition!
04/22/2002 04:02:00 PM
I really like this photo. It's a very nice transition shot. I would like to see more of the grinder and not have it cropped out on two sides. The table in the background makes the photo a little busy. Nice shot!!

I can almost smell it !

I liked this interpretation. Good idea. Not entirely sure about the background though

Great picture!

good idea

My favorite subject.
04/22/2002 07:26:00 AM
good attempt. Framing is a bit off, with a cluttered background and the bottom of the drawer missing. Maybe a higher angle would have worked. You could have turned the grinder handle a bit so it was in the shot too (pointing to the right ?
04/23/2002 02:35:00 PM
If only for a steaming cup of coffee was also shown.

I love this. I love the style. Maybe a hot steaming cup of coffee to the back right would be cool. The framing is a bit off.
