The Blockby KatmystiryComment: Good timing for peak action. Crop this tighter and you have a winner. I might also play with the levels or blacks to drop that background a bit since its mostly dark anyway. |

SMC-swimming-2008-043.jpgby cryanComment: This is great timing, great focus, and overall a good shot. My only nit, and one you likely cant do anything about is the noise in the shot. I'm sure you did noise reduction, and I know what a dungeon these places are to shoot it, so I cant fault you one bit for it. But geeze I did have to find something wrong with it! :D |

IMG_3913 edit copy.jpgby ZippyComment: I have to agree with the others.....although I'm not a fan of shooting through the net, it competes with my attention to the real subjects the ball and player. Yellow cast esy to fix by picking a white point in curves, or playing with color balance. |

Jumpby hajekaComment: If this shot isnt full frame work on the horizon of it, either in post, or remember to work on this during the game. This actually looks a bit past peak action. Good focus, great lens as well! I love the 135F2 |

IMG_4408.jpgby ZippyComment: This is a nice tight shot, albeit too tight for me. If your lens is this tight then perhaps a different position. The timing, the action, the focus are all good, I just wish it weren't so tight. Otherwise this is a great shot. |

Sports Day 1by KatmystiryComment: Hi Kat,
My comment on this shot is two fold. First you have good action, but there are a couple of problems with it. When shooting backlight you need to either meter for the faces and not worry about the backgrounds, or find a way to fill(flash). You might also be able to pull some detail out of the shadows. Also watch your horizons, there is a sense of downhill to the right. I think I'd also crop a touch tighter to lose some of the space to the sides. Good start! |

Fragileby MaggyeComment: What a sad way for it to end for him. But at least you were able to get a pretty shot of it and you tried to save him. Such a big heart! |

Finaleby patio127Comment: What a pleasant way to end the challenge and the fall. Very nice shot. I like the negative space and the composition. |

Bacopa Endingby patio127Comment: Such a cute little flower. I wish the brown dead leaf had been moved. And my eyes keep scanning for a bug.(maybe I'm just a bug guy :D) nice colors and focus. |
