I think the anticipation is good in this like bobonacus said, but they seem to be off in the middle of nowhere, without the puck for a reference point or anything, or like karmat said, change the framing in order to guide the viewer towards what is happening. |

Even without editing, I think this has the potential to be a good shot. A boost in levels/contrast, or brightened a bit will really help. Then, a tighter crop on the left to force the eyes to anticipate what is coming in the frame from the right helps to build the action. |

looks a little dark to me, a little shadow / highlights and levels really brings the photo out more in only a minutes work. If you didn't already you could shoot in raw to be able to recover the shadows and keep the quality.
I like the position of the players, there is great anticipation in this shot |
