Day-5-slice-of-Life.jpgby joynimComment: In an effort to return the favor :)
As a non-New Zealander, I have no idea what a singlet is. Of course it could well be something all people everywhere know, and I'm just a peasant. Either way, this is an interesting image. |

Day 3by thomaspeopleComment: Originally posted by rachelellen: Oh, the peeps! I got a little rush of joy when I saw the thumbnail. Yay!
I have to ask, do you do the eyes yourself or do they come that way? |
I do the eyes myself. In past peep pictures I have carefully drawn them on with a felt tip, but that's tedious. In this particular shot, I used the selection tool, followed by Free Transform and them fill in the black spaces with the clone tool.
Original peep faces look like this fellow (no mouth):

Fall Forerunnerby karmatComment: I agree with Sherryl. This is so well done. The layout, the softness of the leaves still contrasting with the bokeh background, the one splash of color telling the tale.
I like it.

A peep is a little puff of marshmallow, made into various shapes and coated with colorful sugar. They're very bad for you, but oh so wonderful to eat. They are called peeps because the first were shaped like little baby chicks. First sold as Easter candy, they have now branched out to most all holidays.

October Day 2by emily212Comment: It's done very well. Kitty doesn't look too happy though.
I've done a few like this, where I didn't want the background and blacked it out. My only suggestion would be to finish with a soft edged brush with the burn tool around the very edge of the subject (in this case, kitty) and maybe use a small blur brush as well on the outline - to smooth out the edges whee the cats body meets the darkness. I'm not great at it yet, but I'm getting better. The pro's on this site may have a better way, but I don't know it yet.
This is a very good picture though - take my comments with a grain of salt. |

mistby whiteroomComment: Great shot. It keeps pulling you in. I watch it and wait for the fog to clear, just a little, so I can see what that is in the background. |

day 3. slice of life. hair hand glasses & shoeby rozComment: So let me just say that I've come to know your firetrail very well.
This one is a bit closer than the usual, no kangaroos or puppies (unless this is a Hush Puppy - do you have that brand of shoe in Australia?)
But I gotta say, no fair posting two, three, four or more pics a day - all with great colors and interesting angles. I barely squeeze in one before midnight , then end up rambling on about nothing...
Kinda like this post...
I really like this shot though. Can't tell you why. I think it's the colors and the texture.

day 2. slice of life. processing gone madby rozComment: First of all - not bored. This is a great image and very well put together. My eye wanders around the image, spotting something new with each circuit. And your stance, framed in the center of the mirror, shows off your personality.
I have no personality at 5:30 in the morning.
However...
I'm from Tennessee, USA. What the heck is a wollongong, or a paddock?
We don't have these words here.
