This is my sisters cat. I did not do a picture for the second but this is from the first and I will have to just use this one. Sorry! I wanted to try to capture the cat hanging there but the background was not that great so I selected the image and blacked out the background. I like it.

What a cute kitty. I love the look on the cat's face; it is like the cat is saying "please help me".

Great catch. I don't mind the black background at all. What I would have done it try to move the image down a bit so the the stick is lower. I'd like more black at the top and less at the bottom.

Wonderful shot. Good choice to black out the background.

looks like one of those "Hang in there!" posters from the 80's. Great capture!

Great job capturing this. The black background really makes it dramatic.

There is a greeting card with "Hang in There" that has been sold a million times. Yours is better. I'd try it in BW too and try to peddle it as a stock photo. DARLING

Cute! But it's pretty obvious that the background was blacked out, the cat looks like it was cut and pasted on. maybe you can set it up again against a black background.

Reminds me of one of those posters with the saying "Hang in There...It's almost Friday!"

I was kind of disappointed to see the blacked out background; I really thought it was a cool shot from the thumbnail that you could use for one of those posters with an amusing saying... er, Motivational Poster or whatever.
Perhaps you could find a background that you could shunt in and make it look more realistic.

p.s. I love the way his back paw is splayed out like that.

It's done very well. Kitty doesn't look too happy though.

I've done a few like this, where I didn't want the background and blacked it out. My only suggestion would be to finish with a soft edged brush with the burn tool around the very edge of the subject (in this case, kitty) and maybe use a small blur brush as well on the outline - to smooth out the edges whee the cats body meets the darkness. I'm not great at it yet, but I'm getting better. The pro's on this site may have a better way, but I don't know it yet.
This is a very good picture though - take my comments with a grain of salt.
