Simple, fun, effective. Even though it is a set up shot with limited props, it does say Mardi Gras. Nice vibrant colors, those silks and glitters help. Good composition. 8

The Race

I like this image a lot. It's just fascinating to see the intensity and concentration on the faces of the participants. Obviously, no one was posing here for you to make your shot and hence a difficult situation. You controlled it very well. And there is none of that 'too bad about such and such' that you might expect if someone less skillful had taken this. Btw, it's also a radical departure from most submissions here this week and that is appreciated also. 9

This is fun. Are you the one perhaps behind all these color challenges? From looking at this, one might say color theory is your thing :) Well done and creative thinking. The lighting on the background is rather uneven. 8

Green (and brown horses)

Love the peacefulness this image exudes. The horses are fine and placed so well in the composition, the greens and yellows nicely muted. The sky could be a tad more saturated. Suspect you spend a lot of time sitting on that hill contemplating this setting and i would understand why. 9

Path Through the Greens

Find this image very pleasant to contemplate. Even though the greens are fairly intense, this picture reads 'peaceful'. Nice warm tones in the red/greens, particularly first tree to the right. The path leads my eye right to the intense green shrubs beyond the bend. 9

Zecondary Colorz

Really like this Z image. It's fun, it's playful, the colors are vibrant. Am having fun looking at this image. If it were up to me, would have filled up the entire picture plane with these chalks, or whatever they are, instead of showing the black background left and righ, which breaks up the rhythm a little. 8

Exquisitely beautiful. There were many flower images in this challenge, some being very good, this is my favorite.
Sure, it reminds me of Monet but also of Odilon Redon of whom i have seen works in pastels that had an other-wordly sensitivity and beauty. 10

This image has a real nice sensitivity to it. Just wishes those other flower buds (particularly the one to the left near the edge) weren't there but you had no control over them other than vandalizing them. The light on the flower is perfect. Great detail of the various parts of the flower. Nice placement with giving the flower plenty of room to 'breathe'. The feelers are the showstopper. I must get some of these flowers if they will grow here. 9

My 'brain' knows these waterlilies are beautiful but my eyes can't quite feel it because they are too far away. The reflection of the trees in the water is very appealing and i like how the dark tree shadows frames this delicate bed of waterlilies and leaves. I'm not at all a stickler about meeting the challenge, but one might argue that these green leaves really look grey here and the lilies aren't orange but pink :) 7
