Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Jajone...

The color in your photo is excellent... It definitely meets the challenge with no problems...

This shot is also a nice simple landscape... the two horses really add a nice element to the otherwise boring scene. Without the horses, there would not be much to see other than simple color.

As I look at this photo, I see a smaller composition that I feel would be very strong as well... The horse in the lower left corner... I believe that focusing on that and filling the entire frame with it woudl make a really great shot as well... That would also obviously change the entire theme of what you were shooting here, but I just wanted to possibly point out an opportunity for you...

Excellent shot and keep up the good work :)

A nice green picture, and so it first the topic of the challenge, but the composition is squarely 'snapshot.' A different crop, probably centering (interest-wise, not necessarily geometrically) on the right-hand horse, might have gotten a 9 or 10 from me.

Love the peacefulness this image exudes. The horses are fine and placed so well in the composition, the greens and yellows nicely muted. The sky could be a tad more saturated. Suspect you spend a lot of time sitting on that hill contemplating this setting and i would understand why. 9

It rather seems to me that the horses are the subject of this photo, and they aren't a secondary colour.

I'm rating this shot, coz I fear I may not do very well here. Yes, the sky is a lil washed out. Yes, the shot was taken at or near mid day and is overly 'sunny'. Yes, the choice of subject does not reflect any preferences for 'slick artificiality', nor is it in any way spectacular.

Yet, it portrays a disappearing idyll in an appropiately 'common' way, without any 'affect'. I commend the photographer for awarding us this rare pleasure.
