refractionby brent matsuoComment: The colors on this shot are pretty dull, but could be helped with a levels/saturation adjustment in photoshop. |

Puuurdy Pencilsby evmariedogsComment: A different color as a background could really make these pencils stand out much more and be much more effective. |

phantom colorby wheatabixComment: I like the idea, and I like the picture. The pencil, though, seems to actually distract from the picture, since it doesn't make sense floating there. The long shadow of the pencil might also be considered distracting. |

Fractionby TrexXComment: Really interesting photograph -- made me look two or three times to figure out what was going on. I'm not sure I like the framing... both pencils originate and end without any real anchor to the frame of the photograph. The large amounts of 'blank' (water) space are kind of disappointing, too. Perhaps you could try reframing this vertically? |

Lips Say It Allby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: I like the lighting, and I like the focus. I think I'd prefer a different background color, as I don't think white does justice to the almost sexy mood the photograph creates. 6 |

Birthday Presentsby GordonComment: Gordon, I love this shot. The colors are beautiful, and the lighting is wonderful. I think the slant _makes_ the picture. Great job. |

pre-digitalby queen 91Comment: The shot is very dark and very grainy looking. Add alternate sources of lighting to brighten it up, then adjust the levels in an image editing program to remove the wrinkles. |
