Widdop Moorby peeceeComment: Very beautiful. The landscape is very dramatic, and the composition sends my eye sweeping through the shot. |

HODGE'S PARKby mysticredComment: I like the bands that make up this image. It's a bit like a flag... mid-gray band at the top, darker gray band at the middle, and whitish at the bottom. The snow looks blown out to me, which is unfortunate. |

The Art of Erosionby nrulkovComment: Beautiful lines and shapes -- what great trees up there at the top of the ravine. I wish there were starker contrast, though, especially in the foreground. |

The Pierby dpakohComment: Nice depth of field, and I like the waves in the background. It appears to be an overcast day, which makes it hard to achieve an Ansel Adams sky. I had the same problem on my photo. |

Remains by Brick, Ivy and Leavesby banmornComment: I think this photo would be served by higher contrast. You might try the channel mixer method of changing to black and white, if you have access to photoshop, and setting the red channel to some negative number to make the brick blacker than it is for starker contrast. |

Pont Sans Parapeeby CourbenComment: The scene itself is awesome, but the focus is lacking, and the light is a bit harsh. it might have done well if changed to black and white and grainified a bit. |

Just before Sun Setby SKKCComment: I think the composition of this shot would be much stronger if you had taken it from the railing, rather than from behind it. In addition, the focus is a bit soft (from the dim light, I'd imagine). It would probably have served you well to use a tripod, if you didn't, or to try a quicker shutter speed to give you a sharper shot. |
