Unexpected Birthday Surpriseby ColeyComment: A gpod set up and generally well done! I think it might have been good to be a little more subtle than the sign in the background. A small investment in a hallmark birthday card, laying on the table. And the pregnancy kit placed more "naturally" on the table. Finally, a position with ajust a little more face towards the camera. But these are just for feedback, I do like the idea and shot. |

No Way!by FullyFocusedComment: I can't tell if she isacting or not, so that's very good. The expression is right. The photo is generally well done too, though I wish you had a bit more at the top and the light blue object in the background were'nt there. |

Do you married me?...Where is the F.... ring?by cimarron98Comment: A difficult capture because of the velvet; unfortunately, it is too dark there, and you can't even see the slot for the ring. I would have liked to see the skin tones evened out here for aesthetic effect, e.g., with Neat Image, though I realize they are natural for a closeup like this.
Personally, this is not my interpretation of the challenge. I understand how some people think that, but I feel it was the "easiest way out" in a difficult challenge. |

Soar IIby shareinncComment: An interesting shot; I would have liked to see the crop of just the birds sillouetted against the sky. The color contrast there is very cool, though perhaps a bit too dark a levels job here.
However, I am not sure I see the connection to the challenge here. |

Snack time - Hey who did that?by wkmenComment: What surprises you about this? Cookies are snarfed all the time if you leave them out on a paper towel. Anyway, the paper towel doesn make a good backdrop here. And I am afraid I personally don't think this is the essense of what was asked for in surprise. I am curious though how you did this within the rules! You got pretty good shadow detail here. |

It's not always what you expectby Bela45Comment: Cute idea, though I personally don't think this was the point of the surprise challenge. A bit overexposed on the apple; some oversharpening noticealble by the stem; Also, as a special effect, the apple isn't integrated well enough to cause any surprise. |

The Scent of an Orangeby tragicharpyComment: Good shot; lighting is a bit harsh, and I think it would have been better without the reflection of the lights at the bottom. Actually, a nice black, velvet background would have really brought out the orange color. Which by the way, it might be my laptop, but it looks a tad yellow rather than orange: when I first looked at it I thought it was a lemon. |

Fresh Homemade Breadby melkingComment: Good subject choice; The lighting is a bit harsh/overexposed on the tops of the loaves. Also, I think it looks a bit unnatural as presented. I think this would have been cooler "infinity like", if there were perhaps more loaves so that they filled the frame. |

Fragranced by sahkoComment: I like this shot, especially the choice of backlighting. I think it might have been a bit better if the bottom were cropped to not show the bra or whatever it is. The lighting works well with skin and the mist. |
