Nikon Refractionsby banmornComment by dickepa: Good composition, dramic colours, you could say it was a self portrait of a camera but would like to see a not so obvious shot of the photographer. Even something obscured would have made this more interesting. Good photography. |

Maskby banmornComment by PapaBob: I like the effect of the color of the mask and the shadow in the background and how they they appear to be at different angles. I originally was not sure I liked the lighting on the mask but it does add to the mystery so I guess I like it...lol 8 |

Nikon Refractionsby banmornComment by redmoon: i voted this a six, and to be honest, it was one of the hardest to judge. i love the whole concept of this image; the way the camera takes a small percentage in terms of area of the total shot and the orange background is all very appealing. the bokeh (i learnt that here!) works very effectively complimenting the foreground beautifully. and the diagonal placement of the glass stem thing is creative and adds another sense of dynamism to the shot. unfortunately, all this good work and creativeness is lessened somewhat by the soft focus of the camera (albeit unavoidable due the the curves in the glass). maybe if the camera was even further away? it could also do with being set off against a nice simple black border. still, creative, appealing, and a very likeable entry. |

Dahlia Flambéby banmornComment by banmorn: Archive Collection - Gas Burners
Thanks for the addition, André! (fixed the link)
I hope the desription of the shot(s) relieves anyone of the thought that a dahlia was injured in the taking of the image. But just in case, no...no dahlia was injured. Thanks for the comments, everyone! Message edited by author 2006-08-21 01:41:04. |
