gazing ball by SeanachaiComment: Everyday object? If you meant the ball itself, I'll have to take your word for it. I've honestly never seen one before. What I really find interesting is how you've managed to not be in the reflection without cloning. That's something I'd really like to learn for when I'm taking photos of Christmas ornaments. |

utensilby MaYzComment: Very unique framing. Several photos I've seen so far have an interesting frame but this one is the most interesting yet. I think the natural compliment to the frame would have been to colorize the fork in a complimentary or contrasting color. Very creative effort. |

Beat Thisby shangri_La_gypsyComment: The lack of focus is interesting but I think the tip of the whisk needs to be in focus for this to work for me. |

The Walletby Fairfield20Comment: Missed blacking out some of the photo on the left edge. Offset framing is interesting but the photo is less so. B&W maybe? |

Chips Ahoy!by ElemmennopeComment: Awesome idea! One of the other contestants contributed a shot where the chips were starting to melt. When I commented on that photo I mentioned that it had reduced the chalky look often seen from chips right out of the bag. I'm thinking if you just ever so slightly melted the chips here if you would have a smoother more appealing look to the chips. Still, a great idea. Always nice to see somebody who has obviously taken some time with their idea. |

when worlds collideby BrennanOBComment: Could use a few more broken bits in the negative space at the bottom. Seems a little too red on my monitor. |

Melting Morselsby EddyGComment: Simple but I like the abstractness of it. Melting seems to have been a good choice. Takes away that chalky look chocolate chips have right out of the bag. |

Dinner time!by turdaveComment: Good photo but there are quite a few distractions. I think first a more overhead approach would have been better so that you don't see the end of the table and the wall in the background. Ironing the tablecloth and avoiding stains would also help for a more polished appearance. If you put the darkest chocolate closes to the light it would avoid being lost in the shadow of the cake. |

Simple Pleasuresby md8speedComment: The photographic quality is quite good. Lighting is even without harsh highlights or shadows. Sharp, well exposed, clean. However, overall it just isn't compelling. Needs something to pull it away from being just a straight forward shot. |
