you got some nice comments from some well qualified people, i really think if this was a different challenge like say, a soft focus or floral challenge you would def have been in the top ten and perhaps a ribbon. good thing you went with my choice! :)

EXACTLY! Last summer we took the kids down to all the parks in SoCal and hit the redwoods on the way back, i too had a hard time trying to capture the size and fell back on the old standard of putting people in the shot.

in photography, just like many things in life, we grow when we accept the criticism along with the praise. It's not always easy but being able to look at ourselves and our art subjectively goes along way.
