I think this is my third time to re-post this photo, first with very minimal post-process then I used Lightroom presets, then this one using some of the techniques I learned from the PARC CRUZ Workshop. And I always wanted to process this one to the best that it may become.

Taken at Isla Pulo is a Sitio in Brgy. Tanza Navotas City Metro Manila. This photo was taken together with the Shutter XP.

This was actually the first photo I took about her. Initially she was kind of shy, but when I showed her the photo, her face beamed with a smile, and that's why I was able to get a good close-up shot. She began to be conversational afterward.

The title is very fitting. Her eyes jump right out and grab you. I really the expressions within the eyes, the textures surrounding her, and overall composition.
cheers,
JKH

The child looks sad, her eyes tell a whole story...
An excellent portrait, reminds National Geographic material as Sandy said!

really good pic this one. If I am looking at this with a very critical eye might say that the leading shoulder is slightly washed out. I would also try desaturating the reds of the door frame a touch to see if it helps tell the story.

First impression:
Wonderful placement with the little girl in the doorway. It creates that wonderful soft directional lighting we are all looking for. The textures and colours of in wood are superb.

Suggested improvement:
Nothing I can think of right now.

Beautifully framed and processed image - my only criticism is that the whites of her eyes look a little pink to me, perhaps you made the white balance to ensure her dress was white or you upped the saturation of the red channel?

The deep reds elsewhere in the image are really nice though.

amazingly beautiful child, and you photographed her so well. The reds really make her dress pop, and the dress make her skin just melt. also, the composition is fantastic, putting her right in the rules of thirds make this image a joy to look at. GREAT work
