Put Out to Pastureby cpanaiotiComment: I like the strong colors and overall "in focus" look in this shot. Low POV to get the leading line of the tracks is catchy too. |

Robinby hajekaComment: I like the way that you used the surrounding brush thicket to make a frame for the close up of the actual star of the show. It adds a lot to have a good view of the habitat, plus a great portrait of the little guy. |

IMG_6889 Toad Lily.jpgby drydocComment: Nice job! The big DOF including both flowers in good detail, as well as some of the leaves behind them is a nice change from the shallow DOF shots.
They look a lot like a small version of passion flower plants, or like some kind of orchid with the lovely colors. |

Dahliaby inamoComment: That's a pretty flower. We do not have those in Florida. I agree that the background is busy in this shot, but that does not keep the flower from being a treat to see. |

Painted Linesby KelliComment: These leaves make wonderful subjects when the sun is shining through them and you photograph them from behind. I have the same type plant growing in my yard, but don't know what it is called. The contrasting lines are fun to work with using different photographing techniques. |

LILAC - Day 9by sherpetComment: Your BG choice makes this striking. The simple lines and shapes are your "photo signature". Beautiful.
I am happy to see that you have flowers to work with since it is mid winter there. |

Rudbeckia at Sunsetby quicheComment: That's sweet! It's two images in one. First the brighter one, then the sunset as a bonus. It's a very nice combo. |
